CHRIS MORIN EITNER  – ONCE UPON A TIME TOMORROW

20 April – 6 May

10am – 6pm ( Monday to Sunday )

Sutra Foundation

Chris Morin-Eitner is a playful artist who likes to transform the metropolises he explores with his camera. From a surprising tropical Eiffel Tower to the Oriental Pearl Tower surrounded by a thick vegetation, his photographs consisting of astonishing superimpositions send us right into a post-apocalyptic world as if all humans had disappeared in a flash, leaving behind huge skyscrapers claimed back by the fauna and flora.

Next to Paris, Singapore, Shanghai and New-York among others, Chris Morin-Eitner will photograph Kuala Lumpur and transform it too, for your eyes only, into one of his unique “photo-paintings”.

RENDEZ-VOUS WITH FRENCH CINEMA

12 April –  20  May

Alliance Française KL

Put a face on today’s French cinema as seen through the eye of photographer Jean-Baptiste Le Mercier. From Lily-Rose Depp (The Dancer, Planetarium) to Isabelle Huppert (Elle, The Piano Teacher) via Reda Kateb and Jérémie Elkaïm (whom you can watch in Django and Into the Forest, respectively, two films in our cinema selection), these stripped down portraits show their models in a different light, sometimes innocent, sometimes confident, always genuine.

This exhibition is sponsored by Madame Figaro, a French feminine fashion magazine and UniFrance, the organisation in charge of promoting French cinema worldwide.

HeRsk will be showcasing his talent by conducting graffiti workshops in different institutions throughout the week of the opening.
